ANTI VENTILATION SKIN (AVS)

The construction of the wings has been designed so that the foil is easy to access for as many people as possible. In fact, the top (extrados) of each wing has been ribbed in order to increase stability and minimize the ventilation effect.
Ventilation is created when the wing comes out of the water and creates an air bubble which will propagate over the entire length and will thus cause the foil to lose all of its grip in the water and create a total imbalance.
The grooves present will then block this phenomenon and the foil will forgive errors much more easily.

What is ventilation?
The ventilation of hydrofoil wings occurs violently when ambient air enters the surface of your foil wing when it approaches the water surface. The result is an inevitable fall, whether you are an expert or a beginner.
Anti Ventilation Skin (AVS) is a new manufacturing process for G10 foil wings. Thanks to 3-dimensional grooving of the foil wings, it is now possible to reduce ventilation phenomena as much as possible. The AVS acts like a multitude of fences or shark skin preventing air from rushing all along the wing.
